This works well for hot days if you are in a drier climate. It is easy to use and helped in my garage on days that it did not rain. When it rained, I had to turn it off because it just kept it humid. But that is how this works. It isn’t air conditioning. It works like your body does to stay cooler. It’s not a huge unit like at ourdoor events, but it is large enough to help in a large room or garage. The forced air (fan) helped push it out enough that I didn’t have to be RIGHT in front of it, but need to stay fairly close to get any effect. It did what I needed it to.
This little unit is a life saver. While I was in the military I was stationed in the deserts of SoCal. Base housing didn't have AC but Swamp Cooler...aka, evaporative coolers. They worked great. They are supposed to be most effective in dry arid climates. I know live in a humid climate, but this device saved our hides when our AC went kapooey this summer. While waiting for parts for our AC unit, we ran this gem in our living room and bedroom, and it did the trick. Took our living room down 15 degrees, and our bedroom down 27! Our room was down to 77 degrees, it was up to over 100 degrees in the evening...a brick house, the room facing the evening sun...and this unit did exactly what it was supposed to do. Made all the rooms we used in comfortable. I can't say enough about it!
As you can see in photo it came with scuff marks on it, so it looks like I’ve had it for years. Was not happy.
Very happy with this evaporative cooler. It gets nice and cold and has provided a lot of relief during these hot summer months.
Just add water (and an ice pack for added cooling) and you’re ready to use this! It’s that easy
This evaporative cooler works just as it should. It was easy to set up and use. It helps keep the air moist along with a cooling effect, especially if you are within close proximity to the unit. This isn't an ac replacement, but it does well in small spaces.
