Important: Honeywell Evaporative Air Coolers are an energy-efficient cooling option ideal for use in hot regions with low humidity, such as the southwestern and midwestern United States. The recommended humidity level for maximum efficiency is below 60%; the cooling effect depends on the environment. For indoor use, place near an open door or window with adequate cross-ventilation. Evaporative air coolers are not air conditioners, and they do not use a compressor or refrigerant gas. Air coolers should not be expected to cool as efficiently as a refrigerated air conditioner. For those living in more humid climates, consider Honeywell Portable Air Conditioners. Air coolers may not be a sufficient cooling method in a heat wave. Check out the Evaporative Coolers Cooling Guide to see if this is the right home comfort solution for you.

Helps a lot

It’s a good product but no real AC. In order to achieve maximum effect you need ice cubes.

Great Evaporative Fan for Patio

Very effective, easy to use & compact enough to not be in the way. However, it is a bit loud in small spaces such as my patio. You can definitely talk over it on the low speed setting but pretty noisy on the higher speed settings.

Does what it says

This product does send out cool water, but you should put the cooler button on to make sure it has the cool air. Best idea that is written was to put ice in the storage compartment so that the air is cooler than just the air blows cold. Only issue I have is with the digital read out on the top. Great is you can see in the dark, but you have to use a flashlight to be able to read what is showing. Would be great if there was a light on in the read out so you can see what is going on with the cooler, especially when you use the remote.

Finally Some Relief From The Heat!

It works perfectly. I live in Colorado and we live in an older apartment building that has no AC. Before getting this, our room was 88 degrees at night. With this swamp cooler it gets up to 60-70. It is a little hard to fill, might have to get some type of hose attachment to our bath or something. We also have carpet so it can be a bit hard to push around but it works great! Slightly noisy, but what fan isn’t?
